About Kellie WilliamsI began showing dogs in 4-H at 9 years of age. Shortly after, I began competing in AKC Junior Showmanship and worked for several professional handlers, learning the proper way to care for, groom and handle dogs until I was 18 years old. Once I aged out of juniors at 18 years old, I showed my first client dog "Zeb" who went on to break the Best in Show Record, winning six Best in Shows, the National Specialty and Best of Breeds at Westminster, Montgomery County and the AKC National Championship. After handling on my own for a few years, I knew there was still more to learn so I packed up and moved to California to work for very respected handlers and to learn even more by managing a show dog kennel out West for several years and traveling to shows on the other coast. Learning animal husbandry is so important to me. There is always so much more to learn. The dogs do not choose this lifestyle and it is important that their trusted caretakers can predict their every need.
Over the years, I have handled several breeds to #1 in the country, have shown multiple group winners along with piloting three different Australian Terriers to multiple Best in Show wins. The dogs health and happiness are always my number one priority, both at home and on the road. I am a registered handler through the American Kennel Club and my facilities and truck are inspected regularly.
